Don't Be a Moron. What More Can I Say?

I tend to not read many blogs, but I'm rereading one from a friend...well, more of an acquaintance...friendly acquaintance, sort of barely an acquaintance, but a really cool guy. And I figured I'd pass on two bits of wisdom which may not be meaningful to anyone in particular.

First, (and I lead with this, not from his comments, but my failings regarding the second point) hypocrisy does not change the truth.

Second, don't deny others the opportunity to serve. Go listen to some Bill Withers if you aren't sure what I mean. In hindsight, it's pretty selfish to try to hide in your own little hole of misery shutting people out of your life because you think your problems are your own fault, or you don't want to "bring others down."

Some times life is great. Sometimes it's pretty miserable. But it was never intended for us to go it alone.

I recognize that social media isn't an ideal forum for personal apologies. Nevertheless, this is probably the only place where I can realistically express my regret to the many people who have offered support, kind words, love, and concern over the past nearly two years. It was wrong of me to shun your support and hide in my own little cave. If I could change one thing over the last two years, it would be that selfish aspect of my behavior. Thank you for your support in spite of my pridefulness.
